Hi, I’m Ahmed Naeem, the founder and editor of Urdu Poetry Blog.
My love for Urdu poetry began during my teenage years while growing up in Punjab, Pakistan. One of my most cherished memories is sitting with my grandfather on rainy evenings as he recited poetry from memory. Listening to verses by legendary poets such as Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Mirza Ghalib, Allama Iqbal, Ahmad Faraz, and Parveen Shakir sparked a lifelong appreciation for the beauty and depth of Urdu literature.
Those experiences inspired me to create Urdu Poetry Blog—a platform dedicated to making Urdu poetry more accessible, organized, and enjoyable for readers around the world.
